Biography

Francesco Guerra is an Italian documentary and commercial photographer exploring people, science, and the environments they inhabit.
His work focuses on the relationship between people and the places they live and work in, often merging scientific research, culture, and the natural world.
He collaborates with researchers, institutions, publications, and brands to document stories both in the field and through commissioned work.

With a background in outdoor and adventure photography, Francesco is comfortable working in demanding and remote environments, from alpine landscapes to the depths of the sea. This experience leads to a practical, immersive approach to photography, allowing him to work alongside his subjects and become part of the environments he documents.

His work has been published by The New York Times, The Times, Oceanographic Magazine, Climbing, and other publications. His clients and collaborators include The North Face, Salomon, La Sportiva, Università di Napoli Federico II, INGV, and Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn.

He is based in Italy and available for editorial assignments, commercial productions, and long-term documentary and scientific projects.
