Biography

Francesco Guerra is a freelance photographer based in Italy.
After earning a degree in Photography and Cinema at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, he spent five years immersed in the world of outdoor sports.
From 2018 to 2023, he worked closely with athletes, alpine guides, and adventure brands, honing his photography and outdoor skills.
Since 2023, Francesco has expanded his focus to long-term documentary projects, centered on scientific and anthropological themes. Collaborating with researchers, institutions, and local communities, he visually investigates the relationship between people, culture, and environment.
A contributor to The New York Times, he has collaborated with clients such as BMW, The North Face, La Sportiva. The Times, Climbing Magazine, Italy Magazine, and other publications have published his work.

Francesco collaborates with institutions such as the University of Naples Federico II, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), and the Anton Dohrn research station in Naples.
