Italians Fight for the Right to Feast on the Beach

In Italy, elaborate beach lunches are a longstanding tradition threatened by the rise of private beach clubs.
Along the Apulian coast around Bari, a stronghold of seaside picnics, many clubs have started banning people from coming in with food.
I traveled to Bari to document a typical day at the beach, taking photos of different families during their day at the beach.
