1000 Years of Bronze at the Marinelli Bell Foundry

In Agnone, a hill town deep in the interior of Molise, the air often carries a faint metallic echo. The foundry's story stretches to around 1040, but the Marinelli lineage took shape beginning in 1339, when Nicodemo Marinelli cast and signed the first bell to bear the Marinelli name.

“Here, everything is as it was in the Middle Ages: the process, the materials, clay, bricks, fire, coal”, says Armando, one of the two brothers that nowadays manage the foundry.
