Biography
Francesco Guerra is a freelance traveling photographer based in Italy.
After earning a degree in Photography, Cinema, and TV from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, Francesco spent five years immersed in the world of outdoor sports. From 2018 to 2023, he worked closely with athletes, alpine guides, and adventure brands, capturing powerful moments of endurance and movement in some of the world’s most remote and challenging environments.
He is an EASA-certified drone pilot, a PADI-certified Open Water Diver, and a dedicated mountaineer and long-distance trekker.
Since 2023, Francesco has expanded his focus to long-term documentary projects centered on scientific and anthropological themes. Collaborating with researchers, institutions, and local communities, he visually investigates the relationship between people, culture, and environment.
A contributor to The New York Times, he has collaborated with clients such as BMW, The North Face, La Sportiva, Montura, the University of Naples Federico II, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), and Climbing Magazine.
