Exploring the Eastern Carpathians

When traveling on a scientific expedition (also on commercial shoots, to be honest), most of the time I don’t have the time to explore some places as I’d like to.
When selecting images, I tend to be brutal, keeping only those that really add value to the story. This means that many images stay behind, often unpublished, sometimes forgotten. This place is for those images.

As a photographer, one thing you must do is learn to see — the light, the shapes, the colours, the relationship that shapes humans to their territory. Every element plays a part in constructing the final image. Then, from time to time, learn to see again. As you grow, your eye will too.
In this coevolution, maybe you'll notice something that you didn't before, or you'll try other angles, other focal lengths, other apertures. Maybe you'll try different approaches to your subjects and to the landscapes.
The goal is to build your eye through your experience, which is unique, and from time to time to challenge it, and add something, or, as if you were on a Zen path, cut something from it, and reduce it to its essence.
